Know which part of Los Cabos you're staying in and how it connects with the places you want to explore.
Los Cabos is the wider destination at the southern end of Baja California Sur. Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo are different towns, connected by the Tourist Corridor. Knowing that distinction makes it easier to choose outings and arrange transport.
The marina, downtown streets and El Médano beach area are useful reference points when planning a visit to Cabo San Lucas. Boat departures, restaurants and other experiences may use different meeting places, even when they are advertised under the same town name.
Check the exact dock or street address and allow time to reach it. A booking described simply as Cabo does not identify a meeting point.
The historic center offers a different setting, with the main square, church and nearby gallery streets. The town's hotel area and downtown are not interchangeable locations. Confirm where an experience, restaurant or event actually takes place before setting out.
The Corridor is the coastal area connecting the two towns. Accommodations, beaches and golf facilities are spread along it. A coastal view does not necessarily mean a destination is within walking distance, and a short distance on a map may still require transport.
Some properties are on the Pacific side beyond Cabo San Lucas. Use the full address when requesting an airport transfer or planning a day out.
Start with your accommodation, then map the outings you want. Combining nearby stops can leave more time for exploring and less time on the road. Keep space for meals, traffic and an unhurried return.
